The Trades Software Price Index

Is software for contractors getting more expensive? Each month we publish how list prices moved across AI receptionists and field service software, from dated vendor pricing pages.

Methodology

• Basket: every tracked tool with a public price (37 of 56 today). Quote-only vendors are listed but excluded from the index math.
• Price used: the lowest and the most popular published monthly plan per tool, in USD as listed by the vendor (annual-only prices converted to monthly).
• Baseline: prices verified on 2026-10-13 = 100. Each edition reports the median change per category and every individual change.
• Collection: vendor pricing pages are read weekly by script; any change is confirmed by a person, with a dated source link, before it counts.
• Not included: promotions, negotiated discounts, taxes and usage overages. Corrections are logged on our corrections page.

No index values are published yet. The first edition needs at least one full month of tracking.
